Published in 1988, Yushan's Mammals was one of the few books featuring mammals. The book won the Golden Tripod Awards for Publications, but as it was first published during the pioneering stage of the establishment of Yushan National Park (YSNP), only a limited variety of species inside the Park was covered in the book. This reprinted version is a testimony of the Park's efforts in conservation over the past 20 years. It is hoped that the book can play a major role in enhancing the public's understanding towards the mammals in YSNP and in turn support the conservation work.
